Prometheus was awarded the contract to supply, install and commission the MEP systems in a new M&S Retail Park store in Merthyr Tydfil. The store consisted of a ground floor sales area and food hall, with a first floor sales area and back of house staff area. A prefabricated packaged plantroom containing a 300kW gas fired LTHW boiler, CWS booster set, gas fired HW calorifier and BMS control panel was manufactured off site, and installed in an external plant compound. Sales floor ventilation was provided via a displacement column system served by an AHU incorporating gas fired burner, integral DX cooling and heat recovery sections. Ventilation to the back of house staff area was provided via a heat recovery unit.
