Our task was to procure, deliver, install, set to work and commission 2 new Climaventa Screw type Chillers within a 6-week programme. The chillers supply comfort cooling to the store which is located at the Mell Square Shopping Centre, Solihull. We also replaced the primary pipework on the roof, carried out modifications to the existing CHW system along with 2 new control panels, a new circulation pump and access platforms to the new chillers for ease of use. One critical aspect of the programme was the crane lift which we carried out on a Sunday after the store had ceased trading; A 300-tonne mobile crane supplied by JT Cranes was deployed to uplift the new Chillers each weighing just over 4.2 tonnes. The whole project was delivered smoothly, safely and with great feedback from our client.

Prometheus carried out the installation of a new packaged biomass boiler system to the existing M&S Store at Solihull Retail Park in Warrington to serve the heating to the Food Hall. Employed as the Principal Contractor, our work also involved the installation of foundations and general construction work elements.

The system was designed to replace existing equipment with a highly energy efficient and modern approach to heating solutions. The system is up and running and on target to achieve full ‘payback’ within the first four years saving the client money and reducing their carbon footprint in the process.
